House Sold!

Today we sold our house in Blairgowrie - so I guess we really are going to move to Canberra…

We started Science Week by going to the RMIT Open Day.

It was excellent. I hadn’t realised the range of displays and demonstrations they have. Athough it is targetted at students enrolling next year it was interesting and inspiring for a much younger student.

I have just listened to an excellent interview by Phillip Adams with Ophelia Benson and Jeremy Stangroom on yesterdays episode of Late Night Live.

They have written a new book “The Dictionary of Fashionable Nonsense - : A Guide for Edgy People”. This is a satirical dictionary and sounds like it would be fun to read.

They also have a website: Butterflies and Wheels.
The aim of the website is to fight “Fashionable Nonsense” - psuedoscience and other claims of truth based on politics or emotion.
